Area<\/p>\n<p>iii.Business Folders<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Overview of Business Areas:-<\/span><\/p>\n<p>-A business area is a collection of related information in the database.<\/p>\n<p>-A business area is a set of related information with a common business purpose<\/p>\n<p>-For example, information about Sales may be stored in one business area, while<\/p>\n<p>information about Cops is stored in another business area.<\/p>\n<p>-In simple words it can be termed as collections of objects in a particular module<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Overview of Business Folders<\/span>:-<\/p>\n<p>-Simple Folders \u2013 Folders that are based on a database table (e.g.: ITEM)<\/p>\n<p>-Custom Folders \u2013 Folders that contain a custom SQL query.<\/p>\n<p>-Complex Folders \u2013 Folders that are based on multiple simple folders.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Here are the steps for creating the &#8216;Business area&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Open Discoverer Administrative Edition<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/erpschools.com\/erps\/wp-content\/uploads\/img\/041711_1113_DISCOVERER1.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Logon to Discoverer Administrative Edition using SYSADMIN user<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/erpschools.com\/erps\/wp-content\/uploads\/img\/041711_1113_DISCOVERER2.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Click Connect<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/erpschools.com\/erps\/wp-content\/uploads\/img\/041711_1113_DISCOVERER3.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Choose a Responsibility and Click OK<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/erpschools.com\/erps\/wp-content\/uploads\/img\/041711_1113_DISCOVERER4.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/erpschools.com\/erps\/wp-content\/uploads\/img\/041711_1113_DISCOVERER5.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Click Create a New Business Area and Click Next<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/erpschools.com\/erps\/wp-content\/uploads\/img\/041711_1113_DISCOVERER6.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Select Any User and Click Next<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/erpschools.com\/erps\/wp-content\/uploads\/img\/041711_1113_DISCOVERER7.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Expand the Node and Select Any Table or View And Click Next<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/erpschools.com\/erps\/wp-content\/uploads\/img\/041711_1113_DISCOVERER8.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Click Next<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/erpschools.com\/erps\/wp-content\/uploads\/img\/041711_1113_DISCOVERER9.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Name the Business Area and Description Appropriately And Click Finish<\/p>\n<p>The Business Area Will be created and you would view the following screen<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/erpschools.com\/erps\/wp-content\/uploads\/img\/041711_1113_DISCOVERER10.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Close the Administrative Tasklist Window<\/p>\n<p>Expand the Business Area<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/erpschools.com\/erps\/wp-content\/uploads\/img\/041711_1113_DISCOVERER11.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Delete The Folder under the Business Area<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/erpschools.com\/erps\/wp-content\/uploads\/img\/041711_1113_DISCOVERER12.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Click Yes<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/erpschools.com\/erps\/wp-content\/uploads\/img\/041711_1113_DISCOVERER13.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Now the business Area is Empty<\/p>\n<p>Logon to SQL Plus and Create a View according to the requirement<\/p>\n<p>Relogon to Discoverer Administration Edition to have the Schema Refreshed And Open the Business Area Created Earlier.<\/p>\n<p>Right Click on the Business Area Created and Select the New Folder from Database Option<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/erpschools.com\/erps\/wp-content\/uploads\/img\/041711_1113_DISCOVERER14.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/erpschools.com\/erps\/wp-content\/uploads\/img\/041711_1113_DISCOVERER15.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Click Next<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/erpschools.com\/erps\/wp-content\/uploads\/img\/041711_1113_DISCOVERER16.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Select the Schema APPS and Click Next as shown below<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/erpschools.com\/erps\/wp-content\/uploads\/img\/041711_1113_DISCOVERER17.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/erpschools.com\/erps\/wp-content\/uploads\/img\/041711_1113_DISCOVERER18.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Expand the APPS Schema<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/erpschools.com\/erps\/wp-content\/uploads\/img\/041711_1113_DISCOVERER19.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Select the View Created at SQL Plus and Click Next<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/erpschools.com\/erps\/wp-content\/uploads\/img\/041711_1113_DISCOVERER20.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Click Finish<\/p>\n<p>The Folder is Created<\/p>\n<p>Expand the Business Area and you can Menu<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/erpschools.com\/erps\/wp-content\/uploads\/img\/041711_1113_DISCOVERER22.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Assign the Users\/Responsibilities who can access the Business Area and Click OK<\/p>\n<p>Here are the screen shots for creating the workbooks in the Discoverer Desktop:-<\/p>\n<p>Logon to the Discoverer Desktop Edition to create Work decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/erpschools.com\/erps\/wp-content\/uploads\/img\/041711_1113_DISCOVERER24.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Select System Administrator Responsibility and Click Ok<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/erpschools.com\/erps\/wp-content\/uploads\/img\/041711_1113_DISCOVERER25.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/erpschools.com\/erps\/wp-content\/uploads\/img\/041711_1113_DISCOVERER26.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Select Create a new workbook option<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/erpschools.com\/erps\/wp-content\/uploads\/img\/041711_1113_DISCOVERER27.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Select one of the Display Style as per the requirement and Click Next<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/erpschools.com\/erps\/wp-content\/uploads\/img\/041711_1113_DISCOVERER28.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Select the Business Area and the folder on which you would like to create the Workbook and Click Next<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/erpschools.com\/erps\/wp-content\/uploads\/img\/041711_1113_DISCOVERER29.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Check Show Page Items and Click Next<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/erpschools.com\/erps\/wp-content\/uploads\/img\/041711_1113_DISCOVERER30.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>You could add the condition required by clicking New.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/erpschools.com\/erps\/wp-content\/uploads\/img\/041711_1113_DISCOVERER31.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/erpschools.com\/erps\/wp-content\/uploads\/img\/041711_1113_DISCOVERER32.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Select New Parameter Option from the List<\/p>\n<p>You will get alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/erpschools.com\/erps\/wp-content\/uploads\/img\/041711_1113_DISCOVERER34.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Enter the Name, Prompt, Description and other Fields and Click OK<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/erpschools.com\/erps\/wp-content\/uploads\/img\/041711_1113_DISCOVERER35.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Click Ok<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/erpschools.com\/erps\/wp-content\/uploads\/img\/041711_1113_DISCOVERER36.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Click Next<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/erpschools.com\/erps\/wp-content\/uploads\/img\/041711_1113_DISCOVERER37.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>You can create the Sort Condition so that the Workbook would sort the data accordingly.<\/p>\n<p>Click Add<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/erpschools.com\/erps\/wp-content\/uploads\/img\/041711_1113_DISCOVERER38.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Select the Field on which you would like to sort the data and Click ok<\/p>\n<p>Add as many sorts you need<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/erpschools.com\/erps\/wp-content\/uploads\/img\/041711_1113_DISCOVERER41.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Give the Identifier and Description<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/erpschools.com\/erps\/wp-content\/uploads\/img\/041711_1113_DISCOVERER42.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Click Ok<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\"
