Steps To Develop a Query_Find Form in Oracle Apps<\/span><\/p>\n

Step 1:<\/span> Open Template.fmb with form builder save it with another name(XXMZ_Query_Find.fmb)\u00a0 and give the module name as XXMZ_QUERY_FIND.<\/p>\n

Step2 :<\/span> Delete\u00a0 BLOCKNAME from Window,Canvas and Data Block and delete DETAILBLOCK from Data Block.<\/p>\n

Step 3:<\/span> Create window(DEPT_WINDOW) apply subclass information as WINDOW and give the title.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Step 4:<\/span>\u00a0 Give this window name in PRE-FORM trigger (Form Level) and give this window\u00a0\u00a0 name in in APP_CUSTOM\u00a0 body\u00a0\u00a0 Program_Unit( in place of window name).<\/p>\n

Compile and Close The Window.<\/p>\n

Step 5:<\/span> Create Canvas(DEPT_CANVAS) apply subclass information as Canvas.<\/p>\n

Step 6:<\/span>\u00a0 Now Create Data block(DEPT)\u00a0 with Wizard or Manual ,apply subclass information to the block as BLOCK\u00a0\u00a0 and also apply subclass information to the items as TEXT_ITEM.<\/p>\n

Step 7:<\/span> Drag QUERY_FIND Object Group from APPSTAND.fmb to Our Form(XXMZ_Query_Find.fmb) Object Group. Here we get\u00a0 window,canvas,datablock will come automatically\u00a0 with the name QUERY_FIND.<\/p>\n

Step 8:<\/span> Apply subclass information to Window,Canvas as well as Block. And drag these to first position\u00a0\u00a0 as shown in below.<\/p>\n

Step 9:<\/span>\u00a0 In QUERY_FIND data block we get 3 buttons(Clear,New,Find) with 3 Triggers.<\/p>\n

Give Block name as DEPT in\u00a0\u00a0 WHEN-BUTTON-PRESSED trigger of New and Find Button. Compile and close.<\/p>\n

Step 10:<\/span> Next create\u00a0 Control item in the Query_Find Block apply subclass information as TEXT_ITEM\u00a0 and attach that item to the\u00a0 QUERY_FIND canvas.<\/p>\n

Step 11:<\/span>\u00a0Next drag the QUERY_FIND trigger from APPSTAND.fmb and Place it in DEPT block\u00a0 level trigger.<\/p>\n

Syntax: <\/span><\/p>\n

APP_FIND.QUERY_FIND(<results block window>,\u00a0<Find window>,\u00a0<Find window block>);<\/p>\n

And write the following code in that trigger:<\/p>\n

APP_FIND.QUERY_FIND(‘DEPT_WINDOW’, ‘QUERY_FIND’,’QUERY_FIND’);<\/p>\n

Step 12:<\/span><\/p>\n

Next Create PRE-QUERY trigger in the block level(DEPT)<\/p>\n

Syntax:<\/span><\/p>\n

COPY (<find Window field>,<results field>);<\/p>\n

:parameter.G_query_find := FALSE;<\/p>\n

END IF;<\/p>\n

Write the following code<\/span><\/p>\n

COPY(:QUERY_FIND.DEPTNO, ‘DEPT.DEPTNO’);<\/p>\n

:parameter.G_query_find := ‘FALSE’;<\/p>\n

Step 13:<\/span> In the form module(XXMZ_Query_Find) give the first navigation block as QUERY_FIND. In the\u00a0 QUERY_FIND datablock give next navigation block as DEPT.<\/p>\n

Step 14:\u00a0\u00a0 Finally Save and move your form from our Local Machine\u00a0 to CUSTOM_TOP using WINSCP tool.<\/p>\n

Step 15:<\/span>\u00a0 Compile the Form using f60gen<\/p>\n

In the UNIX environment, type the following command:<\/p>\n

f60gen XXMZ_QUERY_FIND.fmb apps\/apps<\/p>\n

Now XXMZ_QUERY_FIND.fmx should be generated in the CUSTOM_TOP.<\/p>\n

Step 14:<\/span><\/p>\n

Connect to Oracle Applications. Create a Form<\/p>\n

(Navigation:Application Developer->Application-> Form)<\/p>\n

Here give Form =>XXMZ_QUERY_FIND(.fmx )<\/p>\n

Application => xxmz Custom(Custom TOP Application)<\/p>\n

User Form Name=>Give any name<\/p>\n

Step 15:<\/span> Create a function (Navigation: Application->function)<\/p>\n
