Primarily we create Miscellaneous Receipts and Miscellaneous Issues to adjust the inventory on-hand quantity when actual quantity doesn&#8217;t match with the quantity represented by ERP system, Oracle Apps.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Business Scenario &#8211; 1:<\/span> Actual quantity available in warehouse is more than on-hand quantity in the ERP system. In this case we need to increase the on-hand quantity in ERP system with out purchasing the item or manufacturing the item.<\/p>\n<p>Let&#8217;s check current on-hand quantity of the item, erps_serial in M1 organization. This item, erps_serial is a locator controlled and serial controlled item but not Lot controlled item.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Inventory Miscellaneous Transaction\" alt=\"Inventory Miscellaneous Transaction\" src=\"http:\/\/erpschools.com\/erps\/wp-content\/uploads\/img\/4209_Inv-item-on-hand-qty.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Miscellaneous Receipt:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Inventory Miscellaneous Transaction\" src=\"http:\/\/erpschools.com\/erps\/wp-content\/uploads\/img\/4209_Inventory_Misc_Transactions.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In Inventory module every transaction is tied to a particular warehouse or organization. So select the Organization as M1 (not B1 in this example) and move forward.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Inventory Miscellaneous Transaction\" alt=\"Inventory Miscellaneous Transaction\" src=\"http:\/\/erpschools.com\/erps\/wp-content\/uploads\/img\/4209_Select-Organization.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In Type filed &#8220;select Miscellaneous receipt&#8221; as shown below and click button &#8220;Transaction Lines&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Inventory Miscellaneous Transaction\" alt=\"Inventory Miscellaneous Transaction\" src=\"http:\/\/erpschools.com\/erps\/wp-content\/uploads\/img\/4209_Inv-Misc-Receipt.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Enter Item, Sub inventory, Locator, UOM, Quantity, Account and click &#8220;Lot\/Serial&#8221; button<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Inventory Miscellaneous Transaction\" alt=\"Inventory Miscellaneous Transaction\" src=\"http:\/\/erpschools.com\/erps\/wp-content\/uploads\/img\/4209_Inv-Misc-Receipt-1.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>drag scroll bar towards right to see more fields<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Inventory Miscellaneous Transaction\" alt=\"Inventory Miscellaneous Transaction\" src=\"http:\/\/erpschools.com\/erps\/wp-content\/uploads\/img\/4209_Inv-Misc-Receipt-2.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Enter serial that you would like to assign. In this example we are receiving quantity 1 so we need only one serial number. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Inventory Miscellaneous Transaction\" alt=\"Inventory Miscellaneous Transaction\" src=\"http:\/\/erpschools.com\/erps\/wp-content\/uploads\/img\/4209_Inv-Misc-Receipt-serial.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Click Done and Save your transaction.<\/p>\n<p>Check on-hand quantity now.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Inventory Miscellaneous Transaction\" alt=\"Inventory Miscellaneous Transaction\" src=\"http:\/\/erpschools.com\/erps\/wp-content\/uploads\/img\/4209_Inv-item-on-hand-qty-1.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>You can see the increase in on-hand quantity.<\/p>\n<p>Business Scenario &#8211; 2: Actual warehouse quantity is less than on-hand quantity in the ERP system.
